1. Product Overview

MRDW double skin ceiling air handling unit is ceiling-mounted terminal equipment for commercial water-cooled central air conditioning. Adopting double-layer PU sandwich thermal break cabinet to eliminate condensation dripping issue of single-skin units. Two complete product lines: duct supply model & spherical jet blowout model, airflow range 2000~15000 m³/h.

Duct version matches rectangular ventilation ducts with multiple external static pressure grades for offices, hotels and hospitals with ceiling pipeline layout. Jet model equipped with 360° adjustable spherical nozzles, maximum air throw distance up to 37 meters without ductwork, specially designed for large open spaces such as airports, exhibition halls, railway stations and large factories. Integrated full-length drain tray prevents water leakage. Standard mildew-proof primary filter, optional humidifier, electric heater and multi-stage air purification modules. Ceiling concealed installation saves floor space, 220V single phase / 380V power optional, compatible with cold & hot water HVAC systems.

Standard square air outlet on side wall for rectangular duct connection, four ESP grades available: 120/220Pa for short ducts, 320/420Pa high static for long-distance air delivery. 4/6-row coils optional to match cooling/heating load. Ideal for multi-story office buildings, hotel guest rooms and hospital wards requiring even air distribution. Front maintenance panel allows filter & coil service without unit disassembly.

2 Spherical Jet Model MRDW-S

Manually 360° adjustable spherical nozzles on front panel, no air duct construction required to save material & labor cost. Max 37m soft air supply without direct blowing on human body, single unit covers huge open area. Compact suspended structure with detachable maintenance panel, largely reducing equipment quantity for factories, waiting halls and exhibition centers.

6 Standard Installation Instructions

(1) Suspension Rules

Use matched hangers through reserved holes, flat bearing base required. Max tilt angle during transport & installation ≤15°, no overturn. Reserve 700~800mm service space around unit, over 600mm at filter side for replacement.

(2) Condensate Drain Standard

U or spherical water trap must be installed on drain pipe, height matched with unit negative pressure to block odor backflow. Drain all coil water via drain valve during shutdown, empty fully below 0℃ in winter to avoid freeze crack.

(3) Electrical Wiring Regulation

Motor must be equipped with phase loss, overload, leakage & phase sequence protection. Y connection for motor ≤3kW, delta for 3~11kW, power voltage fluctuation limited within ±10%.

(4) Water Pipe Connection

Cold/hot water unit: water inlet at bottom, outlet at top; steam unit reverse. Use two spanners opposite tightening, torque ≤21kgfm to prevent thread crack. Shut-off valves installed on inlet & outlet for maintenance water cut-off.

8 Regular Maintenance Guide

  1. Clean filter monthly, weekly for dusty workshops; blocked filter leads to airflow drop & motor overload.

  2. Descale heat exchanger every 2~3 years; fill with water for long idle period, fully drain when ambient below 0℃.

  3. Adjust fan belt tension periodically, maintenance-free bearing without lubrication refill.

  4. Clean drain tray & water trap annually to avoid sludge, bacteria and pipeline blockage.
